Here at R. Matthews, we design handcrafted kitchens and other furniture that can be tailored to your individual needs of your project. Our designs often travel beyond the kitchen, to larders, laundries, sculleries, boot rooms, bedrooms & dressing rooms.
The beauty of a bespoke design is that every project is completely unique, created to a specific property and how our client wants to live.

 We have over 20 years’ experience working within period & country houses. You will see that this classic & timeless style is reflected in most of our creations and fits any number of architectural settings.

Our furniture is handcrafted in our workshop based in Derbyshire, England. We take pride in being a company built on reputation. Here at R. Matthews, we are renowned for our attention detail, design service & expertise with project management. Our design process is thoughtful and collaborative; we work closely with the client or the architect from site survey to project completion. Designs evolve as ideas take shape and are all created exclusively for the project. Designs are developed, moving to final plans and elevations, with worktop and appliance selections, internal and external detailing.
